The company was approved as a high technology enterprise by the Xi’an Scientific and Technological Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology in October 2000.
The Company’s unique rutin production method received a national technology patent in 2000 as well.

In May 2002 the company received an ISO 9001:2000 qualification for its facilities.
In 2002 the company also became a member of the National Torch Plan Project, a national government-sponsored initiative run by the Ministry of Science and Technology to support Chinese high-tech and biotech companies and promote the development of science and technology-related industries in China. Huifeng receives research and development and product commercialization funding as well as other support from national and regional government bodies as a result of science and technology—based initiatives and the Company’s continuing qualification for such support.

In 2005 the Company also received the Chinese Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) qualification, which enables it to sell its products without restriction in China. As of January 2007, producers of plant extracts and related products without GMP qualification will not be permitted to sell in China.
